The Torain C1 27.5" mountain bike is intended for cyclists who love sport cycling through forests, the countryside or more demanding terrain. It is a variant suitable for everyday rides and amateur racing. The wheel diameter 27.5" is the ideal choice for those who respect the 29" wheel and also for fans of more demanding technical stages.
Our own production makes it possible for us to customise the frame geometry and optimise the riding position in such a way that it corresponds to the physical proportions of a specific cyclist. We all have thigh bones, legs, a body and arms of differing lengths, and customising the bike is the basis for a quality ride!
The Torain C1 is a quality aluminium frame made of 7020T6 alloy. During frame design use is made of large-diameter tubes, which better resist the dynamic strain during the ride and offer the cyclist faster reaction and good handling in the terrain due to their rigidity. The profiling of the rear stays ensures comfort during the ride. Standard fittings Extra version Connecting dimensions Frame geometry |
Detailed view of welding on the seat tube - top tube - rear stays node. Duratec frames are hand welded and then ground by hand. They do not have a conventional bead shaped by a welding robot, because the weld is performed by hand in several steps. You can find other information about welds and grinding on the technology page.
The conical head tube is for bearings 1-1/8"- 1-1/2". The larger diameter of the bearing in the lower part of the head ensures optimal distribution of the flexural moment from the braking force at the fixed point. FSA ORBIT IS2 industrial enclosed bearings are part of each frame.
In the picture the rear wheel is attached by a quick-release. But for an additional charge you can select attachment of the rear wheel on a fixed axle using the patented Syntace X-12 system. This solution significantly increases the rigidity and strength of the frame's rear triangle. It is far stronger than conventional fixing using a quick-release. In the case of a defect changing the wheel is very easy, because the wheel fits in precisely the very first time. If a fixed rear axle is chosen, the rear brake must be attached using the POST MOUNT system.
The seat stays of a specific shape which is designed with regard to the dampening properties of the frame. Dynamic impacts come from rough surfaces, through rear wheel into the back part of the frame and are transmitted into the knot joint of the seat tube with the seat. The dynamic power is laid out and the vertical power which negatively influences the ride comfort is dampened thanks to the designed bidirectional profile of seat stays
The chain holder is screwed onto the inner side of the rear frame dropout and is a highly valuable aid especially for those who often remove the rear wheel from the frame. Thanks to this clever little gadget, when you remove the wheel the chain will stay on this holder, and you can handle the bike just as you want without having to secure the chain. So, clean hands, secured chain, and the optimum state for transport.
The Torain C1 frame is only suitable for a front derailleur on a brazed-on. The advantage of the attachment is a shaped join, and during use there cannot occur twisting of the front derailleur, as occurs in the case of fixing to a clamp.
