The frame of the Torain C1 is made of 7020T6 aluminium alloy, and its design utilises large-diameter tubes which effectively resist the dynamic strain during a race and offer the cyclist faster reaction and good handling due to their rigidity. The rear stays are dimensioned in the direction of the impacts coming from bumps in the terrain, and their shape ensures ride comfort. This is the best-selling 29" bike, which by virtue of its quality construction, hand ground welds, technical maturity and design fulfils high demands and offers great value for money.  Front Derraileur |
The Torain C1 frame is only suitable for a front derailleur on a brazed-on. The advantage of the attachment is a shaped join, and during use there cannot occur twisting of the front derailleur, as occurs in the case of fixing to a clamp. Duratec frames are hand welded, They do not have a conventional bead shaped by a welding robot, because the weld is performed by hand in several steps. As a manufacturer who follows the demands of the market, we can state that 2/3 of mountain bikes made have twenty-nine inch wheels! Why twenty-nine inches? Easier overcoming of obstacles (reduced front angle of approach thanks to the larger wheel diameter), larger contact surface between the ground and the tyre (increased adhesion on bends), lower centre of gravity (the bike is more stable, the feeling of going over the handlebars is reduced), greater momentum of wheels (larger diameter = greater momentum). For people taller than 175 cm, the twenty-nine is the only right choice! |

CNC rear frame dropouts with stainless steel contact surfaces. Stainless steel inserts prevent the quick-release being forced into the frame. They are replaceable, fixed in place with 3 screws. The rear wheel can be tightened to the required torque without damage to the frame. At the request of the customer we can also make this frame with attachment of rear wheel by fixed axle and Post Mount attachment of rear brake. |
