COOL R14
Cool - a model which has become a kind of symbol for the DURATEC brand. A road bike which has been in production since 1999 in various technical modifications and bears the same name, because its name is a synonym for RIGIDITY and STRENGTH. It's a real workhorse which together with you can get the job done and will never let you down! This sums up the Cool R14 road bike precisely. The foundation is a 7020T6 aluminium alloy frame made of light large-diameter tubes ingeniously crafted to ensure that its rigidity and strength react immediately with absolutely no loss in your pedal power.
Thanks to our own production and individual approach, we can adapt the frame geometry to the build of each concrete customer using precise measurement. The resultant frame geometry and riding position on the bike reflect the cyclist's build and are optimised for maximum performance. More about measurement here.

The Cool R14 is made of light double-butted 7020T6 aluminium alloy tubes. The large-diameter tubes typical for the Duratec brand ensure a high level of torsional rigidity and offer the rider the optimal conversion of force applied to the pedal into acceleration. Thanks to our own production and individual approach, we can adapt the frame geometry to the build of each concrete customer using precise measurement. The resultant frame geometry and riding position on the bike reflect the rider's build and are optimised for maximum performance. The development of Shimano Di2 electronic sets also increases the demands placed on bike frames. When selecting components from the Di2 range we can integrate the cabling into the space inside the frame and put the battery in the seat tube. In the case of a SRAM eTAP set we make the frame so that it has no pointless brazed-on or opening. Standard fittings |

In the direction from the head, the top and down tubes of the frame are shaped so that in the case of percussive impacts, for example when riding on cobbles, they better distribute this load and the frame becomes more comfortable. The function can be explained using the concertina effect. |
| The rear brake Bowden cable is housed in the frame's top tube. During frame production we use precision components manufactured on CNC machines.  Riveted front derailleur bracket |
Riveted front derailleur holder - front derailleur fixed on brazed-on. There is a milled groove in the holder allowing the front derailleur to be set in the vertical direction according to the used gear ratio or according to large chainring. As standard the position of the front derailleur is set to the gear ratios 53/39, 52/39. If a 50/34 gear ratio is used (compact crankset), it is necessary to inform the manufacturer of this requirement. |
