In technical terms the frame Torain C1-29” reflects on the new groupsets with single chainring, such as the SRAM Eagle groupsets. The cable for the rear derailleur and hydraulic hose for the rear brake run through the top tube. They then continue outside it along the rear stays. The front frame of the triangle has no brazed-ons, and the top tube is shaped so that both lines fit comfortably in the top tube. For this reason the seat tube is aerodynamically oval shaped. The concept for this frame focuses on sports riders for whom cycling is their favourite hobby.
Profiled 7020T6 alloy tubes are used for the frame construction. Thanks to the large diameter they effectively resist dynamic load during races, and their rigidity gives the competitor immediate acceleration and correct handling of the bike. The effect given by the combination of 29" wheels and a 1x11 or 1x12 gear ratio is improved yet further by the rear axle in a version for fixed axle of 12mm. Thanks to the short & tight rear triangle over a fixed axle, maximum lateral rigidity is ensured even during the most dynamic stages of the race.

Custom frame construction: if you have an atypical build, we will happily prepare custom frame geometry on the basis of values measured by the FOG system or we will perform the adjustment according to your requirements.
The Bowden cables for the rear derailleur and hydraulic hose of the rear brake enter the front of the top tube on the left. They continue inside the frame and emerge at the end of this tube. On the right is the exit for the rear derailleur, and on the left is the exit for the hydraulic hose, subsequently running to the brake along the left rear stay. The cable for the rear derailleur then runs outside on the right stay.
The conical head tube is for a bearing 1-1/8"- 1-1/2". The larger diameter of the bearing in the lower part of the head ensures optimal distribution of the flexing moment from the braking force at this fixed point. FSA ORBIT IS2 industrial enclosed bearings are part of each frame.
The clear current and future trend are groupsets with a single chainring at the front, and most often we recommend a chainring size of 34 or 32 teeth. The cassette is offered in the sizes 10-42 (11sp.) or even 10-50 teeth in 12-tooth sprockets.
The SRAM Eagle groupsets are the hot item! The incredible range of the gearing is optimised for cross-country races in particular. In technological terms the Eagle is a highly advanced set combining technical advance and the use of very light materials! Gearing range 500% Smooth running, precise gear change, greater robustness - that's how the experts see the SRAM Eagle.
Rear disc brake post mount system. Diameter of rear disk 140 mm, a 160 mm diameter disk can be used if an adapter is used. Based on our experience, we recommend the use of a rear disk of diameter 140 mm and front disk of 160 mm diameter for racing. The rear wheel is fixed in the frame using the fixed axle Syntace X-12. Syntace X-12 with rear axle greatly increases the rigidity and strength of fixing of the rear wheel. It is far stronger than conventional fixing using a quick-release mechanism.
The design of the rear triangle construction is for tyres with a maximum width of 2.25". In the standard version the frame is prepared in terms of construction for the conventional BSA bottom bracket of width 68 mm.
